Hi there,

I ATM i am using some crappy £7 Genius mouse (image below). Does the job.

Grip wise, i have my thumb on the left, first and second fingers on the buttons, and other fingers on the edge. Normally just using my fingertips, and with minimal palm touching. Dunno if a larger mouse would make me use palm, or whether it would help.

Now, i am wondering if:

a. Should I upgrade to a decent mouse?

b. If yes, then what would suit my grip?

I have the exact same grip as you :)

I can recommend the Razer Abyssus as it makes away with the 40 button MMO mice and provides excellent performance and quality 3600DPI with 1GHz ultra-polling.

I use a G500 and its perfect, it can be weighted with the supplied weights and has all the buttons I need and is very comfy and well built, if something goes wrong with it, Logitech will send me a new one within a couple of days no questions asked

you have a claw grip I think as it sounds like mine, I just ordered a razer naga from the bay for £45, and I can't wait for it to come :D

do you have a budget?

Splash out and go for a roccat kone+ or a razer Lachesis.

Currently use a Lachesis myself, but unless the ungraded model arrives in the UK by the end if august I'll end up ordering myself a kone+

Highly recommend borrowing some from a mate, or trying some in a shop for a decent amount of time

I went through about 3 big name mice.. g9, deathadder, mx518... didn't suit me. I liked 518 the best but a few things about it irritated me after a while

Finally tried a MS Intellimouse 3 and it suits my hand great. Just wish it had higher dpi

Comfort > functionality for me as unfortunately I get a bit of hand pain

Will they, i'm still waiting for them to replace a MX518 that's under 6 months old that stopped working, i have 3 more of them though that are still working.

Be careful if you get a razor product. Once you go razor you don't go back. Originaly I had a coperhead fell in love with it. Right mouse button went after 3 years now I have they lachesis. The copperhead is now in a glass case with original box.

My razor kit is now a lachesis mouse and lycosa keyboard. The finish quality is great i find and the products feel great when using them.
