Hey OcUK
I've just moved house and up until I moved, I had been using my TV to play audio from my PC. I've got an LG32LX2R LCD, and I was just using standard speakers, but since I've moved the PC is located further away from the TV and to be rather honest, the sound quality from the TV is a bit tinny and not good enough for my liking so I am after an upgrade. I will also be building up a media centre PC to use with my TV in future, and have plans to purchase a surround sound kit for the TV to use with this, but that'll happen at a later date.
So anyway, I'm now after purchasing some 2.1 speakers that are good quality, for use with gaming and listening to music. I have some Speedlink Medusa 5.1 surround headphones which I use when gaming for voice comms, but when I play games that don't use voice comms I would like to have the sound through my speakers instead so that I can have the freedom to do other things at the same time (like have the TV on in the background for example). I don't want to spend loads on a set of 2.1 speakers. I'd say my budget lies between £50 - £100 but I'd be happy if I could keep it at around the £50 mark. Looking at what's on offer currently at OcUK, there are quite a few to choose from, but obviously until you've tried them all, you have no idea what their quality will be like. So I'm asking advice from you all about what you would recommend, and whether you think it would be worth stretching to the £90 - £100 price tag that speakers like the 3 THX certified ones from OcUK have.
Cheers for your time all
