Spec me some kit

Hi all,

Just wanting some input if possible for a DSLR kit. I work at a school so most of my photos will be indoors, some with poor lighting so a decent flash is needed. There will also be a couple of sports photos thrown in too.

I have been looking at the Canon 400D with the lens kit. Now im stuck on which flash and zoom lens.

I have a budget of about £800-£900 for the whole kit including the camera. Could someone be able to throw me up a couple of ideas/suggestions so i can get the stuff ordered asap.

The Canon 400D is probably the most realistic product for your needs. However if the extra 2million pixels isn't to important then look at a 350D as the prices will have dropped due to the 400D's release. As for flash units look at either the Canon 430EX or the Sigma EF 500. Also the Canon EF-S 17-85 IS gets a good write up for a general walk about. As for longer telephoto lens look at the Sigma 70-300 APO. So to summarize

Camera body - 400D with Kit
Lens - Canon EF-s 18-85 IS
Sigma 70-300 APO
Flash - Canon 430EX
Simga EF 500
Blackvault
