I want to water cool my CPU in a Hadron Air. Obviously the size restriction has limited me to a slim rad, so I have chosen the Black Ice GT Stealth. Nice and thin :)

As for the block, EK Supreme LTX. Pretty much because it's only thirty quid. If I'll notice a decent performance increase with a more expensive block, please tell me, but as it is I'll be getting this.

So that leaves fittings, tubing, coolant, and a pump/res combo. I have a few (basic) criteria:

-Tubing must be opaque black, ideally glossy
-Fittings must be gold or black (if I save some cash then just get black ones :p)
-The pump/res must be as small as possible.

Thanks for any help given, all advice is welcomed!

I've got the EK Supremecy CPU block.. works a treat, the LTX variant is supposed to be quite good

Tubing wise I would only ever use the Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing range of tubing now, so far it's the only tubing that I've used that doesn't seem to stain after I've run a coloured coolant through it (although that probably won't matter if you're going for an opaque black).

I see that Monsoon do gold Free Centre compresion fittings (although they are fairly pricey), depending on how much modding you feel like doing you could buy the EK CSQ fittings & spray them gold

Can't really suggest a pump/reservoir I'm afraid as my setup is in a 900D

I've heard that Primochill tubing is good also, I'll probably be goin for that then as well as the block. Spraying some cheaper ones is a good idea, I'll look into that a bit :)

Any help with a pump and reservoir? My main points are small and cheap, doesn't have to be a combo if it's still reasonably small.

Well i bought the small res and d5 pump cause i heard the pump is the best. Didnt want a double din massive res so the glass tube is fine. Only issue is its not cheap :P

£130!

I'd be getting the one I linked since I want to watercool a tiny case (Hadron Air) so a 170mm res would be near impossible!

Haha they do a 270mm as well. The 170mm is the smaller one! But yea, EK is a solid company i just prefer the look of the other one and at 1200lph on the 170mm its pretty decent. Worth the extra 30 quid :P

Here's my basket so far:

The rad and fans are a MUST. The rest can be changed if need be.

I'd be very grateful of someone could link me some fittings, a pump, and a reservoir (ideally keeping costs down to a minimum), thanks :)

I plan to be adding a GPU in the future (maybe), and it looks much better.

You're not going to want to hear this, but unless your willing to change your case which I am pretty sure you're not then your going to have a few issues, while you *can* add a GPU to the loop you're building I really wouldn't advise it as you will already be on the limit cooling wise.

The issue is that due to the space restrictions and having to use both a space saver rad and space saver fans you're going to end up with something that most likely will be unable to match the noise/performance of a H100, which means if you plan on overclocking your CPU it will either run hot or loud, if you add a GPU then it will run both, if it takes it.

Crazy idea but have you considered putting regular sized fans inside the case and a thick 240mm rad ON the roof? Looking around that seems to be what a lot of people are doing with the Hadron Air.

If you really want to go this route it can be done but it's going to result in something that looks nice but performs very poor by WC standards, proberbly no better than air cooling (and will have more maintenance) which may be what you want if your only after aesthetics, but I figured it worth giving you fair warning as the hardware compromises needed to pull this off will result in parts that will be redundant if you do ever choose to move to a bigger case.

Performance is better with a proper loop too

Usually, but in the low end combining a radiator that isn't much better than the one on a H100 with fans that are quite inferior is going to end up with a result which is either equal or only slightly better on performance and worse on noise, and that's before adding a GPU.

I've seen some with a very similar or exactly the same setup, and it performs admirably. Google "Hadron Air Golden Nugget", to name my personal favourite (that I'm pretty much imitating :p). I know my GPU is hotter but some have it with things like 780s.

It is called the "Air" for a reason, tis all I'm going to say. But if you're determined then I'd be interested to see how this turns out. :)

Course you can link that you nugget ;) OcUK won't slay you for using other forums hehe.

Looks like a nice build. I see why you want to do this now. :)
