Well the time is almost upon me, on Monday I shall be ordering one of the OcUK pre-built rigs. this one to be precise:

Titan Exodus
- CPU: Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz overclocked to 4.00GHz
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon ATI 5850 1024MB GDDR5

....And I'm after some games to play on it. My current PC is just over 7 years old (P4 3GHz, 1GB RAM, ATI 850XT 256MB AGP) and as you can probably guess I haven't bought a new release in a few years now :p

My current shopping list is this:

Fallout GOTY (Always wanted to play this, and if it is as good as everyone says then it'll probably work out as one of my all time favorites)

LOTRO Mines of Moria (Mate is wanting to start this and although I've played it on my old PC I'd like to see it ramped up fully)

Crysis & Warhead. (Pretty obvious really, want some bigtime eye candy;) )

Mass Effect (Rated very highly and looks amazing, will play and if I enjoy it as much as I think I will I'll get ME2)

Also Toying with the idea of getting Deadspace, Dragon Age: Origins and BF2BC, iIf you've got any other game recommendations please let me know:)

Cheers

Depends very much on what you're interested in.

GTA IV is immense.

Get an xbox 360 wired controller :)

Online go for L4D and BF:BC2

Definitely get Fallout and GTA IV as mentioned (shame you just missed out on the mega sale though).

If you haven't played it yet then the half-life series is a must.

Don't buy too many games at once though as Steam has some fantastic deals nearly every second day and you'll be kicking yourself seeing a game being sold for a fiver which you previously paid a lot more for.

Fallout 3 is one of my all time favorite games, beware though it takes up a lot of your time. The GOTY edition is a complete bargain too. What type of games are you into? You have a varied list there of genres.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
The Witcher
Mirror's Edge
The first three Prince of Persia games (Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Company of Heroes
The Stalker games
Bioshock
Supreme Commander
Grid/Dirt 2

(Sorry, keep thinking of new games to add :D)

Thanks guys, some good suggestions there :)

May well get GTA in the future, played it on my neighbours Xbox 360 and looks ver impressive.
Played HL2, but for some reason it didn't grab and scream at me in the way HL1 did so I didn't get any of the episodes.
Is X3 TC much different to Reunion? I'm going to be moving that across and my saved games aswell as I put a lot of time into it.
Not thought about Arma 2, I know one ofthe guys in our office raves about so maybe a future purchase there :)
Don't know much about The Wticher. Might have a look, is it a good game? Was considering getting Fable, that looks interesting.
Got the 1st Stalker game and still didn't get very far into it, but it's still going onto the new PC.

Forgot to mention I'll be moving Oblivion across (got 97 hours played and some great content mods) BG & BG 2. NWN & NWN 2 and of course I'm dying to see what WoW looks like at full detail aswell :)

Man it's hard to keep it to a few games, there looks to be some cracking games out there :)

Just Cause 2, Dirt 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, X3 Terran Conflict, Dragon Age:Origins . Probably the best would be Fallout 3 GOTY though - will keep you going for months. I guess it depends what genre you enjoy most.

I personally would avoid GTA IV - it looks crap and runs like crap.

X3TC is similar to reunion - did you ever play the fan made extended mod for reunion? TC is basically that, but better.

Company of Heroes - essential WWII rts, should be on everyone's hardrives (unless you are under the age of 15 as it contains rude words).
If you think Cod:MW2 is hacked too much and you want something a little more realistic than BF Bad Company2, I would recommend Armed Assault II. It has a steep learning curve if you have never played a realistic soldier sim, but you can fly, drive or shoot with any weapon you want... And has the best mission editor in the whole wide world.

I've played the Xtended mod for X3 but didn't give it much time tbh, I was more attached to my storyline game.

What about the Gothic series? Gothic Universe is pretty cheap and looks quite good. Would anyone reccomend it or is The Witcher better?

Pokemon, it will be maxed out.

OMG REALLY?! \o/

OMG REALLY?! \o/

Ha, ha.

Good choice on LoTRO and for Mass Effect, so that clears that for me recommending it for you, so here's my list...

-Battlefield: Bad Company 2 [it is borked, but it's really good fun].
-Bioshock [both games].
-Half Life 2 [get all episodes].
-Tomb Raider: Underworld.
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [get both games but i'd wait for a price drop in Modern Warfare 2, if that ever happens].
-Medal of Honor: Airborne.
-Call of Duty: World at War.
-Resident Evil 5.
-Mass Effect 2.
-Far Cry 2 [i liked it, other people didn't, so let your taste buds do the analysing].
-Wolfenstein.
-Champions Online.
-Red Faction: Guerilla [probably spelt it wrong].
-Dirt 2.

That's all my mind is remembering atm.

All of the following are awesome on PC:

Fallout3 GOTY
Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition or std edition
Resident Evil5
Lost Planet Extreme Colonies Edition
Street Fighter4
Devil May Cry4
Bioshock1
COD MW2
COD4
GTA4
Splinter Cell5
Fuel
Dead Space
Assassins Creed1
Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Stars Wars The Force Unleashed
Sega Rally
Battlestations Pacific

One more question chaps before I order the games, what would you recommend between DA:O, The Witcher or Gothic Universe?

Cheers
