I really need sone locking nuts for my 306gti6 and tbh i am lost as to what ones to buy in terms of brand and size etc

Reason i want them is my cyclones are literally perfect and i dont really want to come back to my car on bricks
( i live near newport you see)
Any advice/ help would be mucho appreaciated

i dont think ill bother with locking nuts unless i have some really posh wheels, reason being, even mcgards are a 10 second job to remove

£10 worth of disposable halfords sockets and the wheels would be history

Pretty much anything falls to the "beat a socket over it" method so it's no use thinking that expensive shiny brand names will help.

The only thing locking nuts do is delay the thief, if you can really delay him (or them) then they might consider the risk too great and move on to an easier target.

Pick up 2 or 3 sets of different cheapo brands from ebay, 2-3 locking nuts on each wheel will double or triple the time (and noise) needed to get your wheels off.

Ball ache when you need to change a tyre, but you can't have it both ways.

McGuard are the only ones to consider IMO.

I think you seem to be missing the point of locking wheelnuts, its not to make the wheels impossible to remove, its to make it that bit harder so they don't bother and move onto another car without locking nuts.

and if they give up part way through your wheels are highly likely to be knackered.

scumbags are gonna cause you hassle regardless, one of my cars was broken into on friday, interior rifled through yet nothing pinched.

so if they want them, its going to be hassle anyway, and locking wheels nuts wont stop them

Plus the noise factor

Just get some McGuards from Halfords, they do the job fine

The other option is to get fancy wheel nuts that need a special internal drive key to remove them like Volk but they cost £120
