I recently aquired an orginal xbox, I'm going to be using it mainly to play with XBMC, but are there some real classics I should be giving a whirl? (Please don't say Halo/Halo 2).
 
Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront II, Fable: the Lost Chapters, Time Splitters II (if you're playing multiplayer with mates, even better!)

That's my initial recommendation, more might come when it springs to mind :)

Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude --> Good for a laugh but probably wont last you long
Timesplitters Series (I think 2 & 3 were released on the xbox)
Conkers Bad Furr Day --> Another game which was good for a laugh

Star Wars: Republic Commando and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance are two of my faves. Plus the three Prince of Persia games - Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.
 
Psychonauts, Knights of the old republic, The Suffering, Fahrenheit, San Andreas, Vice City, Ninja Gaiden.

Oh and Get Kung Fu Chaos if you can find it cheap, Lots of fun :D
