Spec me some quiet fans

Hi all

Looking to get around 7 fans for my new build... I want them to do a decent job but also run pretty quiet, I don't need LED or RGB just some nice and quiet ones

Any recommendations please

What case/coolers are they for? what size do you need?

Also why do you need 7?

It's for the Antec P120 case, I'm looking for 120mm fans.. I think its best to have more in that case as the layout is different

7 seems a lot and more than likely over kill

BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 are my choice of fans at the moment

There are 5 of them in my system of varying speeds but only 3 of them are case fans

I was thinking more as the case doesn't have the usual route of flow for air... How many would you recommend in the Antec P120

Not personally used it, but looking at the website and suggested airflow - probably 3 intake fans at the bottom, and just 1 exhaust fan at the rear

Ahh OK I was considering some at the front next to the motherboard but I'll leave that then until I get more watercooling bits... Do you have any recommendations of fans?

I've used these in 2 of my PC's now - cheap, fairly quiet, and seem to move a decent amount of air:

I've got a mix of Corsair LL120's and Deepcool RF120's in my machine and both are pretty much inaudible and push a decent amount of air.

Oh that's good to hear, are the LL fans RGB or am I thinking of something else? What case do you have?

Sorry, correction, the Corsairs are ML120s, so are fixed red colour and don't need the whole propriety Corsair RGB system crap, they're on the radiator. The 3 deepcools are the main system fans.

I have a pretty aggressive fan profile, they all run on minimum duty cycle unless I'm gaming, then they'll all ramp up if need be. You'd hardly know the machine was on when browsing

That looks really smart mate, I will take a look at the Deepcool fans you've mentioned.. What program do you use to adjust the fans speeds?

Are PWM worth the extra few quid over non pwm?
