I ordered 4x Geil 1GB Sticks...

...to go with my PC (Abit IP35/Quad Core/8800GT). I had problems that if the memory was run at its specified memtest would show errors on 3 of the sticks so I gave up and RMA'ed it (at spd they were fine...)

What RAM do people recommend that has the least amount of chance of screwing up as id rather not return the next batch. Im after 4 GB in 2 sticks (...to increase my chances) and resonably good timings...

Would either of these be good choices?

G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400C4 (2x2GB) CAS4

And, is this stuff worth the extra?
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced

Im not planning on overclocking, I might but Id just like a system that works (i.e. not an expensive paperweight) at the moment :)

Hi qwertybob If you are not going to over clock you will be fine with the Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB) latency of 5-5-5-12

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Reaper is a bit more due to lower latency CL 4-4-4-15. As is the

G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400C4 (2x2GB) CAS Latency : 4-4-4-12

As you are not over clocking the XMS2 would be a better choice, and cheaper vs both Gskill & OCZ memory
