hi i get a little confused with memeoy timing etc but im looking for some new memory, i have 3gb at the mo all 1gb sticks, its corsair pc6400, i have pre orderd windows 7 64bit and would like to install about 8gb of ram to really boost up my system but i dont really now what im looking for, this is the board i have

could someone point me in the right direction for some good memory and maybe explain the whole latacy and timing thing lol

Good RAM, if you order a set of this you can still use 2 sticks of your old RAM for 6gb although the RAM speed would be slower. Or you can order 2 lots for 8gb and remove your old, slower RAM and have the ram running faster.

Latency and timing, lower is always better. You need to judge this on the rams speed.
800mhz ram will show lower latency than 1066mhz ram because the 1066 ram has more cycles per second. Hope this helps.
