Hi, as the title suggests, I'm looking for some idea's, pros and cons, I want a 16gb kit, I would prefer 2x8gb, rather than a quad channel kit, this will leave me 2 slots free for an upgrade in the future if I need it, 2400mhz or faster,.

At the moment I have my eye on the team frost 16gb CL10.kit due to price, timings and speed, but I can't make my mind up, any input on this kit would be gratefully appreciated, although the heatspreaders are white, white pretty much goes with anything, they will be going in a gigabyte sniper 5 board.

Thanks

I just ordered a set of that Team Group Extreme Frost 2400MHz memory - good timings and a bloody silly price were a combination I couldn't resist :D

It looks good fitted against my black motherboard and the heat spreaders are serious chunks of aluminium. I just set XMP profile to on and it booted straight to 2400MHz without any messing around - Glad I didn't resist :)

Thanks for the info.

Im torn between this kit and G.skill TridentX 2400mhz, I didn't realize until last night that the Red tops to the heatspreaders are removable, before they wouldn't of gone with my colour scheme, but now they are removable, they very well may do, im running G.skill Ripjaws at the moment, but only 2 sticks 2x2gb (4gb) and need to upgrade.

I want 16gb over 8gb to be a bit future proof, I know DDR4 is on the way, but I wont upgrade my system again for a good 3 to 4 years, and in that space of time games and app's and even windows itself will probably require more and more memory.
