Spec me some RAM please..

Hey guys, long time member but haven’t done a build in years. A lot has changed. I’m looking (maybe) at getting the following:

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO INTEL Z390 (SOCKET 1151) DDR4 ATX MOTHERBOARD

INTEL CORE I9-9900K 3.6GHZ

Not sure on RAM though. Will be used for gaming at 1440p, dual monitor, plus other stuff - nothing intensive but looking for longevity more than anything with possible overclock in the future.

Any help appreciated.

2 x 8gb 8pac 3200mhz. I can get mine to run 4000mhz easy and they look great

Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking at those actually, they're a great price. Any problems with compatibility with the Asus board above? I've noticed they're not on the official list from what I can see:

According to the OcUK page on these modules they're not compatible with the CPU or chipset? CPU is i9-9900K and chipset is Z390.

CPU Compatibility: Intel Skylake/Skylake-X/Kaby Lake/Kaby Lake-X (LGA 1151 & LGA 2066) & AMD Ryzen 3, 5 & 7

Chipset Compatibility: Intel Z170, Intel Z270, AMD B350, AMD X370

Should work fine. The page hasn't been updated because they've been on sale for a while.
