Had some Uniross bats for a few years now, but they're so old they only hold charge for a few hours at best now.

I remember reading a while back that the best bats for mice are ones designed for very slow discharge. Ie not something you'd use in your camera, which would be drained much more quickly.

So what is the best AA rechargeable for mice? With a really long life per recharge? Would like them to last at least a week between charges ideally. I'm using an MS laser mouse if that makes any difference.

Sanyo eneloop. They fuse the long shelf life of alkaline with the rechargeability if NiMH. They self discharge very slowly, even after 3 years will still hold 75% charge.

So much better than the rubbish they sell on the high street, those Energizers are rubbish.

I got mine from the auction site. Now using mine in my camera and it's so nice not to have to charge the day before we go somewhere.

Would be perfect for a mouse.

Uniross Hybrio, fantastic batteries, and I believe that most "new" uniross batteries include the Hybrio design as standard now. The main difference is Hybrio batteries (which are still basically regular NiHM batteries) are designed to reduce internal current leakage.. So unused they will retain around 90% of their stored power even after 12 months on the shelf.. They are absolutely fab in my digital camera.

EDIT:
Hybrio is included in Uniross batteries with the name "Multi Use Long Life", or alternativly in the "Hybrio" product.
Also the Duracell "Active Charge / Stay Charged" battery range are using pretty much the same tech. They have slightly lower mAH ratings, but I have found overall most high rated batteries dont have a very long life before they are worse than the older 1300mAH batteries anyway.
