Hi all

I just rebuilt my PC into a Corsair Obsidian 800d. I used to use an Antec 1200, which had good cooling, but the fan noise became too annoying when I was trying to do any work without headphones.

I need some powerful fans that shift a good amount of air, but fans that are silent or as near to silent as possible. They dont need to have LED's, I would prefer black, but colour isn't a deciding factor. I need them to connect to 4 pin molex connectors from my power supply.

The fans will be going into the top 3 exhaust slots in the 800d (so must be 120mm) and one will be going into the optional 120mm slot below the hot swap hdd bay.

Anyone have any ideas?

read a few reviews on these fans neither as close the the db as quoted and flow less than half the quoted cfm...

fan spec as about the worst i,ve ever seen as quoted..

I have 2 of those apache vipers on my Corsair A70 cpu cooler. At high speeds (1800rpm) they are loud. I have them running at 600rpm on my cpu cooler. If I did get 3 more of these, would I need some kind of adaptor to connect them to the 4 pin molex cables from my power supply?

Thanks for the replies guys. Im beginning to like to look of the be quiet silent wing 120mm fans, I may even replace the standard 140mm stock corsair fans with them. Has anyone used the be quiet silent wings range of fans? Are they really as quiet as they seem on youtube reviews?

I have fractal fans (fractal 1000 case) and they are fairly quiet. I recently read up on silverstone air penetrators and these seem to get really good reviews and provide a fairly controlled stream of air.

Search air penetrator smoke test to see. A lot of people say they are loud when they really start spinning up but due to the amount of air they move they usually stay on low and are fairly inaudiable.

Not sure if they make the size you are looking for though. Just some input anyway...
