Spec me some speakers

2.0 preferably as space is very limited so not really much room for subwoofer etc, mainly for playing games, want as good a sound as you can get with just 2 speakers, thanks in advance

It's worth mentioning that the speakers mentioned above are not active, ie: you'll need an amplifier to drive them. But I agree that they're an excellent choice over most active computer speakers.

oops, never thought about active speakers.

I know you said no sub, but the Aego M is a really good active 2.1 system.

Audioengine A2 would be my vote, they ARE active.

I have the A5's and my limited experience with them so far (got them on Tuesday) tells me they are amazing for the money. The A2's get similarly excellent reviews and would certainly be worth checking out.
