Starting to enjoy music from my iMac while sorting photos and editing etc but I'd rather not use headphones due to having a baby in the house and I need to be able to hear him, but the standards speakers just don't really cut it.
I want a standard 2.0 setup, preferably bookend speakers but open to suggestions. I've seen some posts and pictures on here of ones that go quite well with the design of the iMac, hence creating the thread in here.
Don't want to spend a huge amount but I appreciate you get what you pay for, especially with audio equipment so will take any suggestions within reason. Ideally they plug straight into the iMac (late 2012 if that makes a difference) and don't need any accessories to make them work. And finally, ideally black but it's not a deal breaker as sound quality is the most important.
Other than that I'm not fussy
