For the wifes MG ZT. 18" Z rated I believe. (225/45ZR18)

Not concerned about performance tyres or branded as she does'nt drive like I do in my car :D

Thanks in advance.

Only 4 points of contact between the car and the road, don't skimp!!

The 18"'s on the GT are running Pirelli P-Zero Rossos which are good.

Heard good things abouk the Falken - FK452's if you can get them in your size and are good on cost!

Agree with you totally but she does 8 miles a day to work. Why the hell she needs a V6 for that is beyond me but she gets what she wants. Cheers

If she only does 8 miles a day you don't need to really worry about getting a hard wearing tyre. Quality isnt just for people who hoon around - you never know when a kid might run out in front of her car on that 8 mile trip, and when that happens, you need all the help you can get in braking quickly and safely.

You only need a new set of tyres every 4-5 years with that sort of mileage, so over the years the difference between premium and budget tyres in terms of cost will be very small.

Why skimp?
