Hi,

Okay its time to upgrade the PC. I last upgraded for MTW2 so its only right i upgrade for ETW. Here are my current specs:

E6400 @ 2.65ghz
ATI 1950x
2Gb of 6200 corsair ram
XFI sound card
22" HP LCD
Antec 500W PSU (i'm suspect of this psu as i occassionally get soft reboots which i think is down to a shortage of power)
Thermaltake tsunami dream case

I was going to upgrade before xmas but thought it best to hold fire. Now i have a max budget of £750 and i want to get the most out of the new game. Can anyone do me a 'spec me a PC' please as i've been away from PC's for some time (since kingdoms)

needs case and maybe third party cooling

i considered specing an i7 upgrade, but it was not really possible as the cpu, RAM and MB would have taken up the majority of the budget leaving you with still a weak graphics card.

you could get away with getting a 4850 at your res, i would have prefered to get the sapphire 4870 1GB, but that has no ETA or buy option.

you could also change the e8500 to something in the e7x00 or even the e5x00 range

you could also conder getting an q9550 cpu

That looks great. I tried a i7 upgrade too and was shocked, it was like going back to the early 90s in terms of cost for pc upgrades.
I can save on the HD as i have a seagate 500gb that i can use and the DVD drives i have are great. The case is the problem to be honest. I've see the Antec one i like but its £100.
