My feet have been bloody freezing these past few weeks. Can someone recommend some warm, easy to put on shoes that work with suit trousers please? Plus they have to be decent to drive in.

I'd recommend some smarter chukka boots with rubber or preferably dainite soles. If you buy the right pair (not desert boots) then they can look like normal shoes under trousers. Something like the Loake Pimlico would give a good idea although you probably wabt to find a cheaper boot if it's just for work. But the Pimlico in leather is quite a sleek boot so just throwing it out there as an example of what to look for.

They look good, could double up as a going out shoe as well.

I was thinking about getting some 'winter shoes' seen as I seem to spend my life in a variety of Vans. Not ideal for our wet/cold weather at this time of year. I did spot the Vans MTE range which are supposedly weatherproof, might be worth checking them out if you want something more casual? That said, my girlfriend seems to think I should grow up and buy some boots :(

I've always been blessed by feet and hands that are cold most of the time from October to about March, and unless I keep my core toasty my feet never get warm. Get yourself a decent pair of thermal underwear that go all the way down to your ankles and you'll be halfway there.

Warm socks can help in the right shoes, but thicker socks can mean your feet are restricted a bit more, limiting circulation and making things worse. So bigger shoes and thicker socks are required.

My warmest shoes are these http://www.millets.co.uk/footwear/188051-hi-tec-mens-v-lite-walk-lite-witton-shoe.html, mainly because they're very wide fitting with plenty of room for socks. Downside is that they're nasty nubuck, a pain to clean properly, and now definitely down't look like that any more!

RM Williams Chelsea Boots (with the rubber soles) - I've two pairs, and have worn hardly any other footwear for the past five years. They're expensive, but extremely well made, comfortable and good for driving.
