spec me something better than windows movie maker!

yeah been getting into video editing, mainly passing the time at work and going through previous untouched camcorder video from years gone by, at present im using windows movie maker, which im sure is not the best, so any recommendations free or at cost

oh ok maybe i should just stick with it, very simple and happy with my results, i just presumed it would be a bit naff in comparsion terms, but it does ok
