Spec me something on Netflix for the next 2 weeks

Hi, I have just come out of hospital after having a small OP, gonna be off work and pretty much bed-ridden for the next 2 weeks and I need something to get in to to relieve the boredom.

Shows I have watched and liked:

24
Fringe
X-files
Heroes(first season anyway)
The Wire
Torchwood(it was alright...kind of)
Firefly(obviously)

If anyone could recommend a series or some decent movies that I could get in to, that would be great. There are lots of popular american shows that I am yet to try out.

Also, I could order in a boxset of something I suppose if it was worth it;)....been looking at House, and I have never even seen as episode of Lost(:eek:) so I have been considering that

If The Thick of It is on there then that's definitely worth watching, Malcolm Tucker is truly quite exceptional at swearing.
I don't know if it's just on the American version but Archer seemed quite funny from the first half dozen episodes I watched.
I doubt it'll be on there but The West Wing is one of the all time great TV series', brilliantly written (for the most part), funny, poignant, powerful and generally just great - it's worth being aware that if you do get into it you'll want to watch it all.
 
It has Dr Who from the very start. Some god aweful acting in the B&W ones (as far as ive gotten so far) and I am pretty sure the one I watched last night was an acid trip but ... oddly still worth watching.
 
Lie To Me looks interesting, but something about what I have seen about it doesn't really appeal to me. It kind of looks like it tries to be too clever if you know what I mean. I sort of enjoyed The Mentalist for a while, but I ended up feeling the same about that

The West Wing is a good shout. Never watched it, but it is my kind of thing. Not on Netflix, but they have most of the boxsets in my local 2nd hand dvd shop for about £7 each, so I might get someone to pick one up for me.

Oh and The Thick of It is one of my favourite shows ever. Desperately waiting for a fourth series!


PS. Can you not change the aspect ratio on Netflix?

I might give 4400 a go. I remember looking in to it when it first came out. Also I forgot about Caproca, i loved BSG so it might be worth a look.

I never really liked Dexter tbh.
