spec me: Spyware tool kit

the usual has happened, my dads refered me to his mate becasue his PC is up pap creek.
ive hasd a look and itas absolutly bursting with 'spyware' et.
its a long time since ive tried to fix spyware, asi never let it happen to me

so reccomend me a few programs that i can stick on a CD and take with me.
ive searched the forum, and spybot seems to be favoured.

just wanted some fresh info as things may have moved on a little ! and you can never be sure which programs to acctually trust !

If the above doesn't shift it all, then just reload the system. It will only take an hour and half at most, including doing a backup/restoring data. The amount of people I see spending days on shifting a virus/spyware infection is silly
