Hi all,

I picked up a cheap continuous lighting umbrella kit (2 x 85w coil bulbs) a while back off the rain forest, which has been 'okay' for basic needs.

I'm currently using that as background and/or fill lighting and my SB-800 as the main light for portrait work. Obviously, not the greatest and lacking control of shots. My body is a D750, so I'm able to shoot off camrrea (something at least).

I'm no pro and not looking to move to any wedding photography. I'm happy to work with studio portraiture (side line pet/family shot work). To help improve my composition, I want to move to a strobe lighting set up.

Wanting to go entry level, but not Chinese gear (Neewer etc). I have been looking at the following items:

INTERFIT EX400TI 2 HEAD LIGHT KIT (2x 400w heads) around £400
iLux™ Delta II GS400 Twin Head Softbox Kit (2x 400w heads) around £400 if I add the bag

Any suggestions/feedback on the above kits would be most welcome.

It is studio lights that I'm after so sorry for the misleading thread title

I've had a quick look on the Lencarta site and looks pretty solid.

Out of interest what total wattage have you been using? This would be for a small studio for portrait work in the main. I'm wondering if the 400w total will be quite enough or whether 600/800 total would be a better future proof purchase?

Ordered the 2 200w kit with an upgrade to the softboxes (pro folds instead of the constructed types).

Should arrive on Monday, so I'll feedback when I've put it through it's paces :)
