I'll be in Budapest between 25th and 29th of November with the Lads.

Can anyone recommend anything to do or give any advice at all?

Sorry to be negative but I didnt think it was that great for a lads holiday, there is a club by the train station which is a bit of a meat market though!

Also the McDonalds in the train station is worth seeing, I know that sounds stupid but the architecture is worth it!

See Buda castle, the Parliament, Matthias Church, walk along the Danube to Margaret Island. Visit the Gellert Thermal Bath and the National Museum. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. You could see what day trips are available. We did a great one to a stud farm with bareback riding displays and lots to drink afterwards.

mate you will love it there that is a great city , be sure to visit both sides.

One side is called buda the other Pest , i went there a couple of years ago when it was snowing and it was stunning with all the snow.

Dont know what the weathers like out there at present but if its cold be sure to take warm clothing as i remember walking across the danube bridge and i froze my nuts off

Walk along the river, walk up the hill to the Memorial Statue on the top of the cliff (some nice views there).

As for night life, Budapest is severely lacking in that department to be honest. I've been there twice over the past couple of years. There are a few nice snooker/pool clubs though. Finding food late at night can be a challenge too unless you go to one of the casino's.
