Sorry for the second spec me thread, however everything has changed since last night and now instead of £500/600 to spend as in my original thread, I can now spend £1000...however, this must be a full system, so as well as the tower/components and such, I also need a monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, these can all be simple, straightforward and generic, wireless is a must for keyboard and mouse. Already chosen a monitor...Samsung T200 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor @ £137.99.
In regards to the tower, pretty straight forward, no added extras, just mobo (onboard sound), cpu, cooler, ram, gfx card, hdd (500GB minimum, 1TB if possible), dvd drive, tower itself, psu...did I forget anything?
Will also need an OS, am happy to stay with XP on 64 bit to make use of more than 3.2Gb ram, or willing to even give vista a try.
Requests...want it to be reasonably quiet, would prefer an I7 system if possible, otherwise will go for the AM3 phenom II route. Would like a decent cooler to overclock, but won't be obsessing about this, want to just set a stable overclock and leave it be.
I think that's it, this will also be my first full system build myself, have done everything on a pc before except change the mobo.
HOWEVER...if anyone can recommend a pre-built system at OCUK that will suit what I need, happy to do that as well as my time is limited and unlikely to be able to finish the system build in one day.
