spec me the best cpu for £89.99

as the title says, will you guys please help me to spec the best cpu for £89.99.
need it for gaming, not planning on overclocking becuase i do not knoe how to. however, i might come across to learning later on in the future.

Phenom 840. Or if you can get another £10, the 955 would be a v/good choice

Just found out that the i3 2100 is £90. Not sure how it compares to the 955, will look now.

Actually, scrap that it's a dual core.

sandybridge i3 or if you can stretch to another tenner you could get the i5 750 in the clearance section.

if its AMD iver:
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 MA770
or
Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-US2H 760G

and if it's Intel iver:
MSI H67MA-E35 Intel H67
or
Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 Intel H55
(sumthing along the £59.99 line.)

The "phenom" 840 is probably the worst cpu you can spend you money it. It's an athlon in drag.

955 is the way to go, the 840/i3 is false economy tbh.
