Spec me the ultimate gaming machine

Yes, a bit of fantasy/reality time. Im going to be asking this more realistically in about a years time, but what could I get to give me a fast, future-proofed machine? Looking around it seems to be that I could get a speedy one for around £3,000. Can anyone muster up a system for this price?

This a waste of time then. By that time, Conroe will we here thrashing anything we spec today, and we'll have DX10 cards around (but no games for them). AMD's K8L architecture might also be around
