Corsair XMS3 16GB (2x8)
MSI HD 6850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 (unless you know different/better in same price bracket)
Gelid Tranquillo cpu Cooler
SSD Samsung 128GB 830 series (got already)
Cooler Master Silent Pro modular 700w psu.......OUT of Stock.
Which one will take it's place---needs at least 8 Sata on it. ???
Tower Case InWin MaNa 137 Midi Tower....Unless you know of better but no higher than £50.
All being bought from OC except what I already got.

PoP In and advise me Please.

Needs to know ASP PLEASE...Thank You

Mmmmm! I'm even more Confused now than I was before.
Each time I ask, the components change. :) :(
I know an i7 is better, but it costs more as well. Was told the i5 is just as good seeing as I'm not doing 3D and only doing normal photoshoping.

Was going for a GT640 (that's higher than a GT 430 in it?) but was told it is Rubbish.
I know I need CUDA for photoshop5, So which is slightly better and has both CUDA and openGL/CL for PSCS6,(when I upgrade) that don't go over £100 (if there is one). My eyes are droopy after reading about to many G/C

PSU needs to be Modular Please..

I looked and wrote down the Zalman Z9 last week, so decision is between that and the InWin case (decisions, decisions) :)

Thank You----Dennis

May i say a BIG THANK YOU to you All for being patiant with me and Helping me out..
Appreciated..

honosuseri----You more or less have put down the components That I looked at a few weeks ago..

i5-3570K (it is then)
The i5 I can overclock a bit if I need a bit more oomph! or leave as to see how it gos first.

Gigabyte Z77X-D3H (got already

SSD Samsung 128GB 830 series (got already)

RAM--Have a choice here between these two--Corsair XMS3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit @ £95.99p or the
Team Group Elite @ £79.99- Don't think there be any difference between them except for price is there?

OCZ ZT 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply [OCZ-ZT650W) - I liked this when I looked at it other day.
Should run All my Hard Drives and more attached to USB.

Zalman Z9 case I will now buy..If I need plug-n-play hard drives I can buy the front cases to fit. Or take the two out of my old PC.

I like that cooler so will stick with it.

Graphics card I know not good for games, but quite Good for photoshop.
Only problem is that it has just 1 x DVI. (did not notice that before) Anything else out there with 2 x DVI not too high in price.
Other wise I would buy it. How can it run 3 monitors?? Need two on the DVI side.

I got lots of spare DVD Writers here..Two DVDRs in a box, 5 in Towers, along with CDRs

Just need this i5 to drop in price..lol
Thanks.

PS----Is this card Good-- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 640 OC 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card [GV-N640OC-2GI] it has two DVI onboard

OK--Graphics card..

MSI RADEON HD 6870 OC 1024MB GDDR5...Will this fit in my mobo Z77X-D3H
With the TeamGroup Elite 16GB (2x8) RAM
and Cooler Master Hyper 612S CPU Cooler
Along with rest above that honosuseri has mentioned.
This card looks Good to me.
Thanks.

olivier---Glad to know it's a Good card..Like you, my friend in IT said, use the onboard graphics to see what it is like first before deciding on a seperate card. Thinking on that one.

Lazder---Photoshop 6 needs RAM. Though Photoshop 5 will use lower. I could buy 8GB now and see how that gos first. Problem I got is that I don't know a lot about these components (Thick) lol, only know a little. So I get a bit undecided and in a muddle when I can't make up me mind, so therefore I rely on you Brainy lot. :) to get it all correct. As for CUDA..That was an easy question to answer once, but I'll try to explain as best I can...Photoshop 5 and below uses CUDA so we buy cards with CUDA onboard, that was easy, so we then could find a GC within our price range as majority had CUDA...Now, Photoshop 6 had to be different didn't it (the idiots) that uses Open GL/Open CL, so we now have to find cards that uses that. But to Confuse! the issue a little, some of us are still using PSCS5 for the moment but will be upgradeing in a few months or Xmas time, so we need a New GC with All three on board--CUDA/OpenGL/OpenCL, so we don't have to waste cash and buy another card later.
So you can see why my Mind is going Doo Lally! :)
Trying to keep my spending below £700 if possible of which I did do, but now it's just gone over that a bit. That Graphics card MSI Radeon HD 6870 OC has all I need on board CUDA/OpenGL/OpenCL, as well as Physx that I might not need, that is what drew me towards it. Hope I explained that lot ok. lol

honosuseri---I'm going to stick with what you have suggested above as that is what I had in mind first off..RAM, I did not know about XMP and what it does, so Thank You for telling me..My friend knows but he not send me email back yet. I shall buy that RAM then. I take it IGP means onboard graphics?
Thank You for describing the Multiple Screens to me..Appreciated.

Funny that, last week my friend said same thing, leave the GPU until later, that way you'll see if you do need it or not.
I got paste, so does my friend so saved cash there..lol
OEM CPU it is then.
OFF now to order the above..
THANK YOU for the kind help. Also Thank You to the others.

ORDERED the ABOVE and Paid..
Looking forward to seeing this lot.
Left the graphics card till later..

THANKS ALL----Appreciated your Help.

Hi lazder---MSI Radeon Hd 6870 OC 1024MH GDDR5
iDVD-D +iDVD-I + 1 HDMI Physx/OpenGL/OpenCL/CUDA...Unless those that are selling it are telling huge Lies..Will not ever use Physx anyway..
Can someone check it for me. Not ordered the GC yet.

I have an awfull lot of HDD here 6 External HDD from 500GB to 1 TB, 2TB in a Zyxel NSA, 1TB other. 1 TB in my Aldi PC + 2x1TB in plug n play (hot swap) Going to get more later on as I need them for my Photography. Also 4 HDD in my other PC that is giving me BSODS every so often and I can't find what's causing it. So that will be pulled aprt..RAW+TIFF+JPG takes up a lot of space, so a Good PSU is what I need. Those HDD will be going into the new PC, reason for 8SATA or more on PSU. I already got a Good Corsair 550w and a Corsair 500w in two other PCs, my friend who puts these together is going to sort the other PCs out for me and try to sell bits for spare parts or make me up a Good Server. Got two Printers in use as well + Flatbed Scanner + speaker system + HDD Docking as a standby. Too much really..LOL

I dithered over the i5..OEM or Retail. was going for Retail but decided for the Cooler and went OEM just in case I decide to overclock a little later on or at build. (will ask my friend on what's best. He builds PCs as a living..My eyes are not good for slotting in small wires for buttons etc or I would build it myself.

Many Thanks for your advice though...Appreciated.
