Hello,

Had a browse through some of the below spec me post. Just got a friend after a pc with a budget of around £950-1000. Will be mainly game orientated and general use.


-Will need to include a monitor 24"



Would really like to include an SSD but thinking it maybe just out of budget and something that he can buy in a couple of months.

I Can pick up Windows 8 for £80 so can exclude that from the budget

Does he have a case, as I noticed you did`nt include one in your spec. Also, does the £1000 budget include the OS you can get, so just leaving £920 for the build.

Normally they are more expensive and you get less choice of components. I don't think any of the bundles include the d3h that everyone here would recommend.

Doesnt have a case so was thinking leaving around £80 for that so your spec at 920 is about right. I can get Windows 8 for £80 would you recommend that over windows 7?
 
Windows 8 is a personal preference. You could always download a trial before you buy it. Providing it's still available.

If he has an existing OS, XP or Vista, he could just get an upgrade.
I use Win 7 and 8, although I just play around with 8 until I get the hang of it, 7 I use as my main OS.
