I work for a small organisation that is currently using an intranet system and an old .asp web page with a SQL database back end that simply allows users to log dates/times they have worked, there are some basic calculation and then the form can be submitted to the staff line manager.

Our new intranet system uses the SharePoint framework, I was wondering if anyone was aware of any products that can work directly from this or small third party products (preferably web based) that can achieve these functions.

I've looked at a few basic web form packages but many seem overkill and are ridiculously expensive.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

FreeAgent does time recording, can invoice straight off booked time etc.

Wow, that looks like a powerful piece of software, and I think can achieve everything that we would need.

I was considering putting something together with info path and sharepoint integration but its time I don't have around other projects at the moment.

Thanks for a brilliant suggestion! Will definitely get a 30 day trial rolling.

If you dont mind a "cloud based/SaaS" then have a look at Replicon Timesheet. We've been using from years back. Support is brilliant.

I agree FreeAgent looks like a great product and a great price. Something I will keep a note of in future to use.

But if Sharepoint is the route you want to go I would look for a pre-made webpart rather than waste your time developing something. Look over codeplex and see if anyone can help you for free.
