Hi guys,

My dad is selling his 27" iMac after seeing the new flight sim is out. He wants state of the art to last him a while. What we definitely want is:

6 core Haswell clockable to 3.8Ghz ish
16Gb DDR4
GTX 980
4k Monitor
Decent wireless keyboard and mouse

Don't want it to go too much over £2k. Not bothered about a fancy case as it will be hidden all the time.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

If this is simply a gaming machine then hex core is a waste of money. And talking of money, 'state of the art' and 'last a while' can cost a fair bit :D

That said this is a start. I've assumed you have Windows already - if not add it to the cost. No fancy AIO water cooling, just a decent air cooler will be enough for a modest overclock.

Keyboards and mice are very, very subjective and all perform roughly the same - pick one he likes the look of.
