Spec me up! £500 Gaming PC

im undecided on afew configs that i have specced up, so i would like some input from you guys.
the spec will need everything except keyboard, mouse, monitor and speakers.
its primary use will be for games
the budget might be flexible to £550

I'd probably suggest something like this, you have a Conroe based system and a still very capable graphics card. I'd prefer to get 2gb Ram and a larger hard drive as well as a case with a more powerful PSU maybe but the budget is fairly tight so this is about the best I can do.

semi-pro waster's prices didn't show vat so i was adding bits from mine with bit from his without vat.

And it was a very nice spec. :rolleyes:

ill contact him later and see if he could stretch further on the budget if its needed.
the sort of games he will play are css, far cry, hl2 etc
future proofing could be difficult though

If you need Windows XP then you could consider going with a 7600gt to save enough, they are decent enough particularly at resolutions like 1280x1024.
