Spec me up! £800

Hi guys,

Want my best bang for buck and it's goiong to be used for gneral stuff but mostly gaming.

I already have a 500gb WD Sata II HDD, Sound card, monitor, speakers and keyboard mouse etc.

Willing to strecth to £1000 if its really going to benefit me.

Forgot to mention I don't need disk drives either :)

Something like this might be suitable, I've left out the soundcard since for most onboard is perfectly sufficient and with the speakers you won't notice any real difference. :)

This is the spec I quickly rustled up, bear in mind some parts are taste/preference and add a few pounds.


You can save money from this spec depending on taste and what you or others deem to better value.

For instance, everyone has their own view on cpu cooler. Also the case can be changed (I even included the side window + case fans - personal taste)

The memory can be cheaper, also the cpu for e.g. you could OC a cheaper E6320.

You may decide on cheaper cooler e.g. Artic Cooling 7 Pro, also overclock an e6320 and cheaper case (Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS).

That system would easily come to below £800 and still be sweet :p . My 2p.
