I am in need of a new computer essentially just for gaming. :D
I have about £1300 to spend , but this must include a monitor preferably 19"+ and maybe widescreen format. I do not mind doing a mild overclock, but whatever you suggest really. Basically thats it, so any ideas would be appreciated...

For that budget you can get a REALLY high end system(I'll let someone else advise on specifics but obvisouly go C2D/8800 series). I'd definately go for a bigger screen tho as a top of the range system would be overkill for a 19" WS. So aim for 22" or 24" :D

hows that strike you? you've got a 20" monitor, drop it down to a 19 to add another 2gig ram. I went for a 8800 GTX instead of 2 GTS's as this way you eventualy upgrade to 2 x GTX's if you want in future. Did you need a copy of windows and key board mouse speakers included cause it'll have to be adjusted slightly if so

Good system, however if it was me i'd either knock your gts back to a BFG gts 320 and have two of them or put a GTX in there. I'd also ditch the raptor and put two 2 x seagate's in there in raid config, will save you money and it will be better performance than a single raptor. If you also want to save a bit more money to say upgrade to a bigger monitor, drop the E6700 down to a E6600, after overclocking will run like a beast.
