please can you guys help me spec up the absolute cheapest pc that will run guild wars :)

Thought about having it run bf2 aswell but im not sure I could afford anything that good as id imagine bf2 to be a LOT more demanding than guild wars.

I dont need a monitor or keyboard or mouse.

If its not too expensive it will be a gift for the mrs.

/edit a laptop is not out of the question.

Thanks all :)

you can do with a cheaper gfx if u really want but it will really struggle with guildwars(on high). On bother list the CPU is a little bit weak as well, mite have to do some overclocking..

I've just had a look at the system requirements for Guild Wars, and the above is well beyond what is needed. Can shave off another £20 by going for an X550 instead of the X1300.

yea your list is probs better :D but it also depends if he wants to run bf2 as well. up to him really :D

lol, that will play BF2 on low settings as it exceeds minimum requirements, but you just can't have all the eye-candy :p :D

You mentioned BF2 as well so put this spec together. It's got 2gig of ram although if you can't stretch this far BF2 should run ok on 1gig on lower settings. Just nicer on 2gig. Rest is plenty good enough for BF2 on ok settings. the X800 is a very nice card, better than 6800's and 6600's (it's pretty much an underclocked X850XT - easy enough to clock too and you'll most likely get close to 850XT speeds)
