OK, I'm looking to upgrade the S939 stuff in my sig, fancying one of these shiny £85 E7200's.

I'm a bit out of touch with overclocking Intel's, never having done so before - can someone recommend a good partner board and 4Gb RAM for the E7200 that'll let it fly, but not be ridiculously expensive?

And also a decent cooler, considering just getting a Freezer 64 Pro, due to the 45nm process so shouldnt get too much heat. Any other recommendations?
Thanks!!

get 4gb ram if running 64 bit, otherwise only 2 gb im afraid.

in regards to intel spec units look at past threads (there are 100's) they have builds from £300-£1300.

the Freezer 64 pro wont work but Freezer 7 pro will :D

D'oh! blatant AMD fanboy mode there.... Brain not engaged....

Yeah the OCZ RAM looks fine, cant quite figure out if gettin 1000Mhz DDR2 is worthwhile - I just fitted 4Gb of that to a lovely new rig I built for a mate, but I think the £30 difference between that and 800Mhz stuff is putting me off, its another 50% more.

Board looks OK, think i'd rather go for a proper brand name P35 board, possibly the MSI one - Seems that the current overclocking fave chipset is the P35. Anyone got any good experiences with the MSI Neo Combo?

Thanks, considering the standard one.... and also the MSI Neo Combo, that seems nice - dont really want to spend much more than that, as I dont think my old kit will fetch much.

Happier spending £220 ish and getting say 3.5Ghz, than £300 odd to get 4Ghz.

Any recommendations on coolers other than the Freezer 7, in terms of price/performance benefit?
