Hey Guys,

I'm looking to create a PC for less than £1,000 for video editing. I'm only looking at the core components.

Case and everything inside of it, no software needed.

What can you guys recommend?

Cheers. :)

Not to gen`ed up on video editing. So, not to sure if the Gpu will be adequate or not.
SSD for your software and OS. 2TB hdd for storage.
If you not going to sli/xfire, you could get a cheaper board and get A dvd-rw.
Added cooler incase you wish to OC Cpu.
The case can be changed, your preference.

Save yourself £5 and get what benchmarks say is a better card and get this:

You could probably save on the case and go for the Bitfenix Merc Beta for a few quid less, or Xigmatec Asgard II or Midi.

Also for the above, how does the 7850 perform in video encoding/rendering etc?

Spec I got given by Stulid last month price should be around the same, If you have one of those 10% discounts next week then you can get more ram (vital to go with the 3930K for extra speed if you use after effects/sony vegas anyway)

I tweaked it a little bit when I actually ordered (better psu/ram and change of motherboard etc) but this doesn't fit in your budget just.
