For a friend. He wants to go Mac route but surely these days PC's can hold their own.

Budget £1600 needs 27inch say 1440p screen (assume 4k not necessary at this size) . Needs OS keyboard mouse etc.

I did get it under budget, but chose a 23" monitor before realising you said 27".

For video editing I would go for a Ryzen 1700, cost less than 7700K and is faster.

I think case, keyboard and mouse as well as the monitor are personal choice. That is a solid set of components though I think.

What software will your friend be using? can it take advantage of CUDA?
