SPEC ME WATERCOOLING

Looking to try watercooling on my second rig and overclock, then move it to my main rig to overclock my i7 2600K.
My second rig is simular, its a i5 2500K and the case is corsair carbide 300R which is abit smaller than my main case which is HAF 922.
Are these cases too small ? I just want to cool the CPU so is there a good custom watercooling system anyone can pick out because I dont know really what is good and what is bad brands and products. I am not after a pre made H100 or whatever because you cant even have fancy color liquid which is one of the things I am after when I think of watercooling,. Budget 200 or maybe 250 if its a big leap in quality etc ???????

I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure the 300r is pants for water, iirc it doesn't even have enough clearance to hold a h100.

You may be able to wrestle a case into the budget though, something like the cm690 is relatively cheap and can hold a pair of 240's.

Edit: This covers all bases AND a case AND is in budget

Will a coolermaster haf 922 work ? I have one on my main rig but I can swap them around or even just put the watercooling straight into my main rig and hope I dont make any errors.

A little Google suggests a slim (~30mm) 240 should fit up top on a 922 fairly easily, the kit above with the rs240 should fit in that case

You may want to take some depth measurements to double check (from roof to start of mb heatsink/memory bank).

I just did a check and it will be a very tight fit but I think it would fit but only just. I will know next time to get case with more watercooling features, thanks for pointing it out.
