I have big hands so hate the usual tiny wireless mice designed for work. But the wireless gaming mice are £lol and have eleventy million buttons on them.

What I would like is something the size of a 'normal' mouse, like my G500, but that is wireless and comes with a nano reciever that I can leave in my work laptop. Any suggestions?

The G700 falls into the £lol category, unfortunately.

My current work mouse is an M500. A wireless version of that would be ideal.

Its for work. It needs to have a left click, a right click, a scroll wheel, and maybe some side buttons. Thats it. I don't need uber high precision lasers to navigate emails or any of the other premium features, so I don't want to spend £70 on it.

Theres plenty of small wireless generic mice for under £40, just no full sized ones :(

Logitech MX Performance?
This is actually out of my knowledge. Sorry about that. I can deal with high end gaming mice. No idea you wanted one for work.
Logitech MX Performance is based for your needs though.
With the right places, you can probably find one for £3x

Microsoft Sidewinder X8

Only requirement it doesn't fulfill is that it doesn't use a nano receiver, it uses a pretty bulky receiver that goes on your desk.

The MX Performance is still quite small.

I don't have a desk, I hot desk in the office or work out of customers offices so want a receiver that stays in the laptop all the time.

Had a look at some in the purple shirt store. Lol at the Microsoft wedge thing!

Rather dumb sounding name, however the Logitech Marathon Mouse (M705) is a great full size relatively cheep no thrills mouse. Wireless too.

OCUK store - Logitech M705 Mouse

*Edit
Usb receiver is also tiny so will disappear into a usb port. Not shown on the OCUK store page.

Had a play with one today. They still aren't proper full size, but they are a lot bigger than most.

The M510 is a full size one, but reviews suggest lots of issues with it, and it has the cheap nasty plastic wheel rather than the metal one of the M705.

The M705 is currently winning, thanks cypto

Thread revival.

Got my new work laptop which is sleek and slim and I'm still plugging a wired mouse in which annoys me. Has there been any new wireless mice released since I started this thread?

I've borrwed my GF's old VX Revolution mouse and its just too small. The 705 doesn't appear much bigger meaning it won't be an improvement. At home I have a G500 and work is a lower spec but still full size Logitech.

Why are the only full size wireless mice the massively expensive gaming ones :(

Look for a G700 within your budget on eBay. I got one a while back for about £30, and logitech recently replaced it for a brand new G700S.

The G700S does have garish graphics on them, the G700 doesn't. The buttons are very useful for work and web browsing too if you set up some key combos.

logitech m510 is big

compared to my m525 anyway

How old are the reviews? don't forget logitech mice go through revisions without them saying anything.

i've had replacement mice the exact same model that looked quite different.

the wheel is plastic but it's still coated in rubber just like the metal wheel in my m525

Get the company to buy you a mouse or other pointing device that you can get on with.

They have a duty of care and a mouse is no different than many other items of office equipment such as - correct chair, wrist support (if required), correct desk height, adjustable screen with no reflections, blinds for windows if required, correct lighting etc.

The company I'm contracting for at the moment do an anual review of all workstations.
