All i need is the tower plus componants.

now i used to know what i was talking about but havent had a decent system for ages. back when the GF 6800ultra was king.

want to spend as little as possible to use with UT2004, but i want it to work when the next release of UT comes out

appart from that i dont need it to do anything else lol.

i dont know what is a relisitc price for this now though.

and anything good be built for under £300???

I don't think £300 is particularly realistic if you want a decent system although if you were to go for a 7600GT (roughly 6800ultra level) instead of the X1950pro you would be closer to the budget. Also the motherboard won't be very good for overclocking.

Something like this is a shade over the budget but should overclock nicely. If you don't want to overclock so much then I'd drop the cooler and maybe buy a bigger hard drive.
