Hi,

My friend has £500 to spend give or take. He will be using it for cubase and other music production software. Don't need a sound card as he has one on order. Has to have HDMI out for use with his TV.

Here this would do the job just fine.The mobo has integrated GPU(HD4200)+HDMI output.If you want a little more graphics processing power you can just add a GT220 or HD4350 for another 30-50 quid.

Both beasts, but the i5 is probably better for this! Cubase will utilise the 4 cores and i5's are better for this kind of thing! More money but that's what id choose! Making music, if you're using lots of vsts it can absolutely kane the cpu! Both will do the job though!
