Spec-me

Ordering my monitor/tv today.

I think I should get this one:
LG M227WDP 22-inch Full HD 1080p LCD TV/Monitor (5ms, 10000:1, HDMI)

Think this will be my final build unless someone can do better?

Given that the OEM i5 2500K is on offer @ £155.99 compared to £170 for the retail I'd go for that one.

Microsoft Windows 7 Bundle - Home Premium 64 Bit Bundled with a 500GB HDD unless you really need the space.

If your likely to go for a crossfire setup then motherboard and PSU are fine. If not could easily save money there.

Again, consider whether you really need features of Z68. Save some money and get a cheaper P67 board.

Samsung DVD-RW here is a bit cheaper.

GeIL 4GB RAM £29.99

From the savings above put it towards a GTX560Ti. Comparison here.

Nothing is set in stone about compatibility with current socket 1155 boards and Ivy Bridge. If it is compatible then it should be across the range of Intel 1155 boards rather than just the Z68 boards.

What happened to the Thrustmaster F430 wheel in the OP? I heard it's a very good wheel for the money.

The MSI board supports SLI and your 750W PSU will handle dual GTX560Ti's in the future. (Also comes with 4x 6+2 PCI-E power connectors).

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £179.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM £155.99
1 x MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** *WITH FREE MSI GRENADE* £99.98
1 x Lepa B-Series 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply £72.98
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Bundle - Home Premium 64 Bit £68.40
1 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX) £32.99
1 x Antec 100 One Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £44.99
1 x GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel (GVP34GB1600C9DC) £29.99
1 x Samsung SH-S222AL/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA Lightscribe ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £716.80 (includes shipping : £13.75).

If your not going to ever go SLI then you can get the MSI P67-C45 board and the BeQuiet 530W or OCZ 500W PSU and save a bit more.

Just seen your latest spec. Looks good. Are you getting 2 560s now?

Case is your personal preference but I Antec is probably a bit better overall and more to my liking.

Shadow boxer I already bought the wheel. I have sli in the build above. My budget supports it so I want it.

I bought a better wheel actually for the same price the dfgt.

looking good.

Just a quick heads up about the GD53 and case header problems in SLI (they sit right under the second SLI slot). Could be fixed by MSI with a 90 degree connector, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one :)

I presume you'll be gaming on that screen you've just bought. GTX 560Ti SLI is a bit overkill at that resolution to be honest. Given that you get free delivery anyway, I'd order just the one first then get yourself setup and see how gaming feels. Try overclocking to 4.5GHz and make sure things are all stable etc then if you then really feel you need more of a boost in gaming performance then consider the second card later on. Just my thoughts.

I'd like to have SLI. I like the sound of beating a 580. Or should I order a 580 and then sli it later?

Don't get hung up on ideas like that, e-pen syndrome strikes again. A GTX560Ti is a great card and will pretty much max out 95% of games at your resolution. It'll probably save you a bit of a headache with drivers etc too.
