Hey guys can you spec me a new rig.

- Intel CPU (Quad Core)
- Crossfire/SLI Cards
- Cool
- Quiet-ish
- Bang 4 Buck
- NZXT Phantom Tower
- No OS
- No Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard.

Budget £600-800

You want 2 cards inluded in your build? I would advise sticking to a single one with an upgrade to Xfire/SLI in mind in the future. I'll get speccing now

I posted it in a new post

Struggling to get this close to budget...
NZXT case, 750w PSU and dual 6870s come to just less than £500, and thats without mobo, cpu, ram, cooling, optical drive, etc

Are you certain you NEED Crossfire/SLI?

The SLI/Crossfire doesnt have to be new cards for example dual 6850/ 6870s, they are not need just wondered who could fit them in. as i want a pc for triple screen.

You can use 3 screens with a single ATI card, but if you want a game to be spread across all 3 with good frame rates, you'll need Crossfire.

Alright this is as good as I can get

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE DIRT3 Game £203.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor £173.99
1 x NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case - Red/White £109.99
1 x MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** £99.98
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 750W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CMPSU-750TXV2UK) £96.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000524AS) £39.98
1 x Corsair Value 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit £23.98
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £778.88 (includes shipping : £12.50).

The Card is good for crossfire as it has the 2GB of VRAM but I can't fit both cards in right now, I think maybe you should get this now and get another 6950 when possible to be honest. The PSU will be able to manage crossfire 6950s.

Well i wanted to crossfire my current setup but the second card would only run at x1

According to this:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1156/P7P55DE/#specifications

Your second PCIe slot runs at x4 speed. You will see slight performance hit compared with full crossfire (less than 10% i've heard), but i wouldn't think its worth getting a whole new system. You can get a second 6850 for less than £120, so it's worth giving that a try rather than spending £800 on a whole new system when an i5 760 is still a very good cpu.

I like it, forgot how good Crossfire 5850s were

My bundle i bought was previously overclocked so if i purchase a new mobo i would loose that obviously, but is there any chance i could buy a new mobo that would allow crossfire GFX and a sound card?

Well i wanted to crossfire my current setup but the second card would only run at x1

Current PC:
Asus P7P55D-E Mobo
i5 2.80Ghz @ 4Ghz
Corsair A50 Cooler

2 x 2Gb Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz RAM
650 Antec TruePower Modular PSU
Antec 900 Case
Creative Sound Blaster 7.1 Sound Card
500Gb Seagate Barracuda

keep the hard drive, sound card, cooler and RAM

then get this:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 FLEX 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with upto 5 Monitor Support & with FREE DIRT3 Game £229.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor £173.99
1 x Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £139.94
1 x NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case - Red/White £109.99
1 x Lepa B-Series 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply £72.98
1 x LiteOn IHAS124-19 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
Total : £758.89 (includes shipping : £12.50).

the FLEX graphics card allows you to use three monitors without spending a million billion on an active adapter

thats for the old i5 series.

He already has an old i5 CPU, so the cheapest way to get a board better for crossfire would be to replace it rather than getting a whole new system.

As for what board to get, Asus do loads of P55 boards, but you'll have to shop around. Any Asus Maximus board will do it. Several Gigabyte boards around too.
