I was playing Far Cry 3 earlier and my pc was getting really loud. It wasn't the graphics card because I put the fans on 100% and I heard them a tiny bit. So I'm guessing it's my CPU fan? (stock am3).

So spec me a quiet CPU fan

There's a big range between the two you show.

How about some info about what your system is? Without knowing what case will accept it's hard to make suggestions.. well, good suggestions.

As you have stock now almost any cooler will do the job.

I have a Zalman Z9. Plenty of room.

Just want it to be quieter really

Zalman don't give a CPU cooler clearance but I did find this pic of a NH-D14 in Z9 with this quote "but the noctua fan JUST fits inside my case, had to do some adjustments but yeah..." and NH-D14 is 160mm tall

So no taller than 160mm

Depending on your RAM a 120mm fan may not fit. RAM must be 40mm or less.

Yeah I have corsair xm3 ram. Or something like that. Their not tall. Hmmmm. Best value for money then? Under 160mm
