I went with Samsung Green RAM, so no clearance issues. Although it is too expensive at the moment.

The cooler was easy to fit with well designed fan clips.

Good Choice.

If the OP's not aware, the Samsung is no taller than the actual DIM slot itself. I think there is some up for sale on the MM if you have access.

It's been a while since I ventured into all this I'm not aware of sizes and heights of ram
And coolers

the idea of buying off mm makes sense but I always prefer buying new and having latest kit hence why I'd look at haswell. Ill check out if I can find that Samsung ram on mm if it's about though
