40% of your budget on a monitor in my opinion seems silly in my eyes. I can see the attraction of these high end monitors for those that have a beast of a machine spending £3-4k without the monitor included.

G Sync is still a premium over freesync + the ROG premium. Its a silly amout of money for a 27" monitor. Same price monitor, bigger and better mhz

It might be the same price, but it is a lower resolution. Also low pixel density at that size.
