I dont have time to research this at the moment so if if someone could help. My cousin is getting a new pc, he has a budget of £600 for the tower alone.

Ignore the OS for now.

It can be prebuilt/bundle or I can build it from components for him.

Decent graphics card and cpu (prefer intel) please as I want to try to get him into gaming :P Maybe a little overclocking too.

The i3 is dual core, whilst the i5 is quad core.

the i3 overclocked to 4.2ghz would be very nice for gaming at the moment, however it is important to bare in mind that more games in the future will utilise quad core processors...

The i5 750 and 760 are both 100% quad core.

The Exodus is a great system, though it's going to cost you around £700 in total for a graphics card that will do it justice (ATI 5770).
