Spec my Chief Exec

The Chief Exec for the company I work for has asked me if I can look into a PC for video editing for him, problem is, I know nothing about video editing!

He has printed off a page from a competitor so I'll list that and if anyone wants to provide an OCUK alternative that would be great

He specifically said video editing is the main use so it must be able to do that and all the connectivity he will need

The competitor price is approx £650

Will this be any good for what he wants and can OCUK beat the price and/or better the spec?

Needs,

8Gb of ram.
i7 2600K for the Hyperthreading.
Nvidia graphics card for CUDA.

Does VRAM have any effect with video editing?

Its think its more for home movies than Avatar 2. Does he really need 8GB RAM? Appreciate the suggestion but seems quite high?

Its the amount of CUDA cores not Vram.

If a video editing program or any other progarm can use Nvidias CUDA, then it kicks the CPU arse.

I got a program here called Badaboom, it uses CUDA to convert videos into smaller files for mobile devices, and its a "blink and you miss it" type speed on my GTX570.

a 2600k is better, but a 2500k is still okay

Thats because a i7 2600K isnt an option for that configurator, just trying to get the best speed for you with the parts avalible
