Spec my dad a car

Not the most exciting thread I'm afaid.

He's looking for an estate first and foremost, something around £5-6k price range with good fuel economy and reasonable tax.

We have been looking at stuff like Passats and Vectras so far.

I Would appreciate some suggestions from you guys..

Although saying that, my old manager was on 130k Per annum and his family car was.... a mid 90s Rover 620.
